If you reside in the United States and are a die-hard fan of this criticallyacclaimed British detective series, then you’re about to have the best summer ever, which has been a long time coming.ITV’sUnforgotten, which has already debuted its sixth season in the U.K., has finally set a U.S. return date as revealed byTV Insider. On Wednesday, April 30, PBS Masterpiece announced thatthe highly anticipated season premieres on Sunday, August 24, at 10/9c, months after landing in the U.K. in February.
This exciting update comes two years after Season 5 ofUnforgottenlanded in the U.S., in September 2023, after premiering in February of the same year in the U.K. Not to mention, the latest season, which debuted on ITV in the U.K. on August 25, 2025, has already concluded with the sixth and final episode having aired on February 24. Plus, that won’t be the end of the crime drama, much to fans’ satisfaction, as it wasrenewed for Season 7the day after Season 6 concluded.
