Earlier this month we brought you the trailer and details for the upcomingBatman v Superman: The Ultimate Edition, the upcoming R-rated extended cut of Batman v Superman that features 30 minutes of new footage. If you were lamenting having to watch the bigger, badder cut of the film on your home media, we’ve got good news. Warner Bros. just announced that they’re bringing The Ultimate Edition to the big screen in theaters throughout the country – there’s just one catch, it’s a one night only event.
Warner Bros will bring the film to limited theaters nationwide on Tuesday, June 27th. TheUltimate Editionnot only features brand new footage, but also entirely new characters that didn’t appear in the theatrical cut of the film, likeJena Malone’s mystery role. It runs 182 minutes in length and is Rated R for sequences of violence. Of course, if you’re able to’t make the screenings, you’ll only have to wait a day.
