Back in early April,I tweetedthat the upcomingBill & Tedsequel would feature the Wild Stallyns' daughters, and sure enough it was announced Wednesday thatSamara Weaving(The Babysitter) andBrigette Lundy-Paine(Atypical) have been cast alongsideKeanu ReevesandAlex WinterinBill & Ted Face the Music.
The sequel will find the time-traveling duo joined by their daughters in their quest to save the universe. Weaving will play Bill’s daughter, Thea Preston, while Lundy-Paine will play Ted’s daughter, Billie Logan. That’s right – Bill and Ted named their daughters after one another! In 2017, Weaving starred inMcG’sThe Babysitterfor Netflix, and she recently wrapped the indie movieGuns Akimbo, in which she stars oppositeDaniel Radcliffe. Weaving next stars in Fox Searchlight’s horror-thrillerReady or Not, which I’m looking forward to seeing this August. Weaving is represented by WME and Untitled Entertainment.
Lundy-Paine recently appeared inThe Glass CastlealongsideWoody HarrelsonandNaomi Watts, and she currently stars oppositeKeir Gilchristin the Netflix original seriesAtypical. The up-and-coming actress recently wrapped shootingJay Roach’s star-studded Fox News dramaFair and Balanced, which is expected to be a major awards contender this fall. She’s repped by Gersh.
Orion Pictures will releaseBill & Ted Face the Musicvia United Artists Releasing on Aug 26, 2025. The studio also has theChild’s Playreboot opening later this month, and I can’t wait to get a look at that one.
