Disney has released the first trailer for the highly anticipated Marvel Studios sequelCaptain America: Civil War. DirectedJoeandAnthony Russo(Captain America: The Winter Soldier), the first film of Marvel’s Phase Three slate picks up whereAvengers: Age of Ultronleft off asChris Evans’ Steve Rogers leads a new team of Avengers. After another international incident involving the superpowered team results in collateral damage, the government—and former Avengers member Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.)—begins to meddle with their practices, all the while a new villainous threat looms.

It’s clear that with this first teaser trailer, Marvel wanted to get across that this is first and foremost aCaptain Americamovie despite the overstuffed cast. And they do a swell job of setting this up as a continuation of bothAge of UltronandCaptain America: The Winter Soldier. Yes the story finds Cap and Tony at odds, but it looks to be mostly from Steve Rogers' perspective, which should make for an interesting film. Visually it’s in keeping with the tone set inWinter Soldier—plenty of this could pass for deleted scenes from that movie—but there’s a shot ofChadwick Boseman’s Black Panther that should get fans riled up, as will the “money shot” sequence at the end with Cap and Bucky wailing on Iron Man.
