You might remember back whenJames Gunnwas on theothercomics’ superhero team, Collider’sPerri Nemiroffplayed an epic game of Heads Up with Gunn and the cast ofGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Now that the co-CEO of DC Studios has his brand-new series,Creature Commandos, available to stream on Max, it was time to testthatcrew’s knowledge of the universe. Welcome to the Super Bowl of the DCU!

Creature Commandoshas the distinct honor of being the very first project released from the DCU’sChapter One: Gods and Monsters. In the animated series, following the events of thePeacemakerSeason 1 finale, the cutthroat Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) has found a new way to carry out her dubious missions with Task Force X indefinitely halted. She’s putting together a black ops team of creatures, and she assigns Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo) as their commander. Kept under high security, Task Force M (“M for monster”) is comprised of the superhumans Nina Mazursky (Zoe Chao), G.I. Robot (Sean Gunn), Doctor Phosphorous (Alan Tudyk), Eric Frankenstein (David Harbour), the Bride (Indira Varma), and Weasel (Gunn).

During their games, James Gunn,Steve Agee, who voices John Economos, Grillo, andMaria Bakalova, who voices Princess Ilana Rostovic, battled it out in groups of two. In the second round, Sean Gunn, Tudyk, executive producerDean Lorey, and Chao went toe-toe. It’s all good fun, but they also reveal some hard truths about their fellow Commandos (cough, Frankenstein…). Everything’s fair game, from series characters to other DC faves like Bane and even Collider!

Check out the match between James Gunn, Agee, Grillo and Bakalova in the video at the top of this article, and catch the one between Tudyk, Sean Gunn, Chao and Lorey in the video below:
