After decades of co-hosting alongsidePat SajakonWheel of Fortune,it’s a big change to seeVanna Whiteworking with someone else. Luckily, Sajak’s replacement is the ever-charmingRyan Seacrest, and he and White seem to hit it off pretty well. The pair are always joking around and smiling with one another, whether it be in promos or during the actual tapings. So it should come as no surprise that they also have some totally adorable nicknames for one another. The nickname topic came up during a May episode of the game show, and Seacrest was quick to share his nickname for White. While his nickname for White was cute, it was White’s nicknames for him that really stole the show.
Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White Are a Dynamic Duo on ‘Wheel of Fortune’
Saying goodbye to Sajak as the host ofWheel of Fortunewas a difficult adjustment. After all, he’d been at the gig for decades, with White as his stylish co-host for nearly as long. Butthe show producers struck gold when it came time to find a replacement, because Seacrest is just as skilled on the hosting front. He may not have as many years under his belt, but he sure doesn’t lack experience. Plus, he’s also incredibly charming, and it seems just about impossible not to get along withWhite, so it was actually a relatively smooth adjustment period, all things considered.
Now, Seacrest and White have found their hosting stride on a Sajak-lessWheel of Fortuneandhave amped up the fun and humor to new levels, with skits and jokes aplenty. A recent episode promo brought up the topic of nicknames, whereSeacrest revealed that he calls White “V Dubs”.

“Earlier during the break, I called Vanna her nickname, ‘V-Dubs’. I said, ‘Come on, V Dubs. We gotta go!’ And that’s not the first time, right?”
Though she was quick to point out the nickname wasn’t all that creative since her longtime partner,John Donaldson, also refers to her as “V Dubs”. She then asked Seacrest what is his nickname, to which he said that he doesn’t have any in particular, but if anyone wants to choose one, then go for it.So, naturally, White decided to get creative, and the resulting nicknames were quite funny.

Vanna White Came Up With the Funniest Nicknames For Ryan Seacrest on ‘Wheel of Fortune’
After Seacrest admitted he doesn’t have any particular nickname,White began trying out a few in a funny little montageof pre-show moments. These nicknames include “R-Sea”, “Ry-Guy”, and “Ryan-Stone Cowboy”, which White looked especially proud of. Ultimately, she decided that she liked the name Ryan the best, to which Seacrest agreed, saying it has to come naturally.
In the comments, fans took to helping them come up with nicknames for the host, with one agreeing that “Ry-Guy” has a nice ring to it, and another suggesting “Ry-Fi” like Wi-Fi. Though I’m personally partial to “Ryan-Stone Cowboy”. The nicknames are completely cheesy, as are most of the Instagram promo clips the pair do, but it makes for great publicity for the show and really gives fans a glimpse into Seacrest and White as co-hosts.We were all used to White and Sajak, but White is having a grand ole time with Seacrest, and they bring a new brightness to the game show that really appeals.Keep it up V Dubs and Ry-Guy!
