Prime Video has officially unveiled the first poster and batch of photos forButterfly, the new spy thriller series coming to the platform onAugust 13. While some shows on Prime Video are released weekly,the streamer will drop all episodes of Kim’s show on the same day. In addition to Kim,Reina Hardesty,Piper Perabo, andLouis Landauhave also been set for recurring roles in the show, along withKim Ji-hoon,Charles Parnell,Park Hae-soo,Kim Tae-hee,Sean Dulake,Sung Dong-il,Lee Il-hwa, andNayoon Kim. Kim will also executive produce under his 3AD banner, andKen Woodruffwill showrun with novelistSteph Cha.

Prime Video describes Butterfly as a“character-driven spy thriller that explores complex family dynamics within thetreacherous world of global espionage.”The series follows David Jung (Kim), a charismatic and unpredictable former US intelligence agent who now resides in South Korea. His life then blows up in his face when the consequences of an impossible decision come back to bite him, and he finds himself on the run from Rebecca (Hardesty). Rebecca is a deadly, sociopathic young agent sent to kill him, and she works for Caddis, a mysterious spy agency. Kim released a statement on the series, calling it the“realization of a longtime dream”to be able to bring the show, which“bridges two cultures”that he loves so deeply. The show is now a limited series, so a potential second season is possible.

Ben Affleck’sThe Accountant 2arrived on Prime Video today, and the action sequel will surely take over streaming charts in the coming days.Jon Benthalalso stars in the film.Tom Cruise’sOblivionalso hit Prime Videoat the start of this month, and it took the film only a few days to secure a spot in the top 10, sitting at #2 at the time of writing.Sinnersis even available to purchase on Prime Video for $24.99, or the film can be rented for $19.99.
