In the clip, NYPD officers Sammy Canzano (Arquette,Scream) and Leo Benetti (Luke,The Irishman) are having a sit-down with the mob boss who paid them off to get an address for some nefarious purpose.
Despite the mobster’s bluster, Sammy and Leo are defiant: they want more than he’s prepared to give them. Unsurprisingly, he’s not happy. He’s even more incensed when they demand to be put on the payroll. They want $4000 a month for what he’s asking from them…and anything more will cost extra. Will they get what they’re asking for, or are they about to take a one-way trip to the bottom of the Hudson River? Mob Copsis loosely based on the real story ofStephen CaracappaandLouis Eppolito, two NYPD officers who secretly worked for the Mafia for decades. After their retirement, they were both convicted of racketeering and sentenced to life in prison, becoming known as the “Mafia Cops.” Eppolito also had a side career as an actor and had small parts inGoodfellas,Predator 2, andLost Highway.
