Alan Ritchsonis charging full speed ahead fromReacherto his next action-packed outing, and it sounds like fans are in for a wild ride. According to co-starDennis Quaid,War Machine—a new Netflix sci-fi thriller directed byThe Expendables 3’sPatrick Hughes—puts Ritchson through the wringer, both figuratively and literally.War Machine, which Hughes co-wrote withJames Beaufort, follows “the final recruits of a grueling special ops boot camp who encounter a deadly force from beyond this world.” The film doesn’t yet have a release date, but it’s expected to arrive on Netflix later this year.

Ritchson has been hyping the film since production wrapped, previously calling it: “I think, and you heard it here first, probably gonna be the, no, not probably, gonna be the biggest movie that Netflix has ever had..This is the coolest thing they’ve ever made, guaranteed.”

“I had a blast down there in Australia for a couple of weeks,” Quaid told MovieWeb while promoting his upcoming western dramaBroke. “It was great, because I got to play the general and I never got my uniform dirty at all. Wonderful.Alan was up to his chest in mud. He’s really good in this, and it’s going to be wild to watch.”
