We’re merely days away from the release of Marvel Studios’ latest film,Doctor Strange, but a few new images have landed online. However, instead of simply presenting this handful of new images, we’ve culled together all the high-resolutionDoctor Strangeimages officially released thus far into one handy post. Indeed, the Marvel film boasts some of the most intricate and ambitious visual effects of the studio’s output thus far, so one imagines the VFX on this thing were only completed shortly before the film’s international release.
This is a movie that Marvel has been keen on making for some time, and after an intensive director search,Scott Derrickson(Sinister) landed the gig. Working from a script by himself,C. Robert Cargill, andJon Spaihts, he’s crafted Marvel’s first feature film brush with the mystical, as the story introduces parallel dimensions to the MCU.Benedict Cumberbatchstars as Dr. Stephen Strange, a surgeon who loses the use of his hands in a car accident. His quest for a cure brings him into contact with The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton), who teaches him the ways of the mystics as they square off against the villainous Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen).
The trailers thus far have promised some jaw-dropping visuals, and reviews have been mostly positive. We’ll get to see for ourselves in just a few short days, but for now feel free to peruse the high-resolutionDoctor Strangeimages released thus far.
