Agatha All Alonghas no shortage of ships to root for, from Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) and Rio’s (Aubrey Plaza)centuries-old passionto Billy (Joe Locke) and Eddie’s (Miles Gutierrez-Riley)sweet depiction of young love. But a ship doesn’t have to be canon for people to latch onto it and cheer it on — such is the case of the connection between Jennifer Kale (Sasheer Zamata)and Alice Wu-Gulliver (Ali Ahn). Lovingly referred to as Bloodpotions by its supporters, it’s no surprise that fans quickly rallied behind them as a potential pair. After all, they embody the classic opposites-attract trope, with Jen’s affinity for all things feminine and pink perfectly complementing Alice’s gothic look and vibe.

But the two of them have some key things in common, too. “It was such an interesting arc for both of those characters,” Zamata recently told Collider, “having Alice loosen up her hard exterior to be open to this journey and open to having people help her and her helping other people. And then same with Jen.” While she believes the two might have been too focused on surviving the Road to spend too much time thinking about romance,Zamata notes the undeniable impact Alice made on Jenin theshort time they spent together, saying:

“I definitely liked seeing the bond that was growing between Jen and Alice. Jen begrudgingly went on this journey, and she eventually started getting to the point whereshe was actually starting to like the people that were around her, and Alice is definitely one of those people. Alice’s death was a huge loss and, I think, a wake-up call to the coven that, ‘Oh, wow — any of us could go, and also, we can’t actually trust everyone in this coven.’ Seeing Alice go is like, ‘Oh, we lost one of the good ones and also a potential friend.’ That was super sad to Jen and made her realize the stakes that were at hand here.”

Though she didn’t have time for romance on the Road, Jen is still an openly queer character. Last year,Zamata spoke to Colliderabout bringing Jen’s bisexuality from the comics into the show, saying, “It was fun to have little asides where that was a little sneak peek into that…you would like for these characters to kind of represent the world and the audience, soif people can watch it and relate to these characters in some sort of way, I think that’s really cool.”

What Does Ali Ahn Think About a Jen and Alice Relationship?

Collider also got Ahn to weigh inon Alice’s sexuality at PaleyFest this March. “I definitely feel like Alice is a baby queer,” she says, admitting that she probably “hasn’t explored much in the romance realm.” When asked about the potential for a Jen and Alice romance specifically,Ahn says that she’s “into it,” explaining that while “Jen is not somebody [Alice] liked very much when she first met [her],” she thinks that Alice could learn a lot from Jen.

Plus, there was that adorable scene around the campfire when Jen gave Alice some nice-smelling oil to put on her pressure points.“Jen was really sweet,”Ahn says of that moment before cheekily adding that, in a relationship, Jen would “make sure Alice was really well-lubricated.”
