Call the Midwifehas delivered yet another stellar season of television, with thecurrently airing Season 14proving one of the show’s best in recent memory.With just two episodes left, tensions are high as multiple questions demand answers, including around the potential relationship between Rosalind (Natalie Quarry) and Cyril (Zephryn Taitte). Well, thanks to first-look images of the season’s penultimate episode released viaRadio Times, it seems as if answers may well be on their way.
In the stand-out image of the four, Cyril can be seen having a particularly difficult conversation withRenee Bailey’s Joyce Highland, with the two likely to come to blows after Joyce’s previous comments to Rosalind. In Episode 6 of Season 14,Joyce warned Rosalind away from having a romantic encounter with Cyril, saying they were from “different worlds,” and adding, “The people who don’t like him won’t like you, and vice versa. And they won’t be afraid of showing it or saying it.” A relationship between Cyril and Rosalind has felt on the cards for some time, but is it possible that Joyce might succeed in getting in their way?
Two Hearings Will Take Place in ‘Call the Midwife’ Season 14, Episode 7
Call the Midwifeis no stranger to drama, with thiscurrent season packed full of neat character-based twists and turns that have kept viewers on their toes.Episode 7 looks particularly busy for Joyce, as can be seen in the other photos that show her andJenny Agutter’s Sister Julienne preparing for and facing a disciplinary hearing. This follows Joyce’s complicated examination of a racist patient, with a formal complaint officially made and the potential outcome causing plenty of tension.
This isn’t the only hearing set to feature in episode seven, with the formal hearing into the adoptive status of May (April Rae Hoang) and whether or not she can stay with the Turners bringing even more indulgent drama. Will she be placed in different care via the wishes of her birth mother? Or will Patrick (Stephen McGann) and Shelagh (Laura Main) prove their worth in a judicial setting? Only time will tell asCall the Midwifeenters its penultimate episode. Officially, Season 14 finishes in March with the release date of the final episode currently unknown.
