It’s hard to believe that a show calledThat Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slimecan be so compelling, but as any fan will tell you, the anime series is among the most popular titles of recent years. Even though the series is now on hiatus, fans have a good reason to celebrate this summer —Crunchyrollannounced that Season 3 is finally getting a Blu-ray + DVD release. The release is scheduled for July 22.
The Blu-ray/DVD edition is labeled as “part 1” of Season 3, which means that fans will need to keep an eye out forwhen the rest of the season gets released. It includes episodes 49 to 60 of the series. These episodes deal with the aftermath of the massive fight with the Demon Lord Clayman and the end of the war against the Kingdom of Falmuth. The episodes took the anime series into a surprisingly political context, and fans still debate whether it made the story better or worse.
Rimuru (voiced byMiho Okasakiin the original Japanese andBrittney Karbowskiin the English dub) also discovers that Diablo (Takahiro Sakurai/Daman Mills) has taken it upon himself to heal Falmuth nobles in order to secure their alliance with Tempest. At the same time, Hinata (Manami Numakura/Alexis Tipton) becomes a dangerous adversary when she starts to grow wary of Rimuru’s rising power. So she decides to battle him — the problem is, she is barely aware that her actions are a consequence of the manipulation that she’s suffering from a powerful organization.
Is ‘That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime’ Renewed For Season 4?
Fans ofThat Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slimeare waiting for the series' hiatus to end, but at least they are sure that the story will keep going. Season 4 was announced immediately after Season 3 wrapped back in September, but so far there has been no announcement of when fans can expect to see new episodes. Since we’reapproaching the middle of the yearand no trailers have been released, fans are speculating that the series is only making a comeback in 2026.
