In typicalThe Boysfashion, the Billy Butcher actor is seen soaked in blood on set holding out five fingers signaling the start of Season 5 production. Fans are accustomed to seeingThe Boys’characters all bloodied up, but after the finale of Season 4 and the reveal thatJeffrey Dean Morgan’s characterKessler is a figment of Butcher’s imaginationand is appearing as a manifestation of Butcher’s Compound V-related illness, fans are very excited to see where his story goes.
Anything Can Happen in ‘The Boys’ Season 5
The finale ofThe Boysseason 4 left fans with a lot of loose threads andall of them will neatly tie into the final season. At the end, we see most of The Boys’ team getting caught by Vaught. While Butcher walks away after killing Victoria and he shall return more powerful than ever. Furthermore,Soldier Boy returned in the final momentsand the next season should focus more on his and Homelander’s relationship. Meanwhile, Homelander has become more sinister and America will see his wrath for sure. Speaking toColliderrecently, Kripke revealed thatthe writers' room is trying to stick the landing of the final seasonand is having fun with it. He said,
It’s so fun to have all guardrails off. Anything can truly happen.You’re not beholden to maintaining any storyline or character beyond this season. Nothing and no one is safe, and that’s really liberating and fun. At the same time, I’ll say that you can count the amount of truly great series finales on one hand. It’s so hard to land that plane, much less we’re landing eight different planes. I am appropriately respectful and have an appropriate amount of trepidation for how hard that job is.
