While Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) and Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) haven’t had as much screen time inThe FlashandArrowas some of their fellowLegends of Tomorrowheroes, they will get a chance to spread their wings in theJustice League-esque CW spin-off. Two new brief video profiles of the characters have debuted online ahead of the show’s premiere later this month.
The two Thanagarians have a more personal axe to grind with the immortal villain Vandal Savage. As Hawkman says in the videos, both he and Hawkgirl have been reincarnated numerous times over numerous lifetimes, each time getting killed by Savage. Hopefully this time it won’t stick.

As Hawkgirl teases, there are hundreds of lives she’s lived that she wants to know about, which will likely feature in the coming series. For one,GremlinsdirectorJoe Danteishelming an episode titled “Night of the Hawk,”which sounds awfully similar to “Shadow of the Hawk” from theJustice Leagueanimated series. The latter was all about Hawkman and Hawkgirl’s encounter with an old piece of Thanagarian technology that forced visions of their past life together.
The two characters featured prominently in the pre-Legends of Tomorrowcrossover episodes betweenThe FlashandArrow. The spin-off also starsVictor GarberandFranz Dramehas Firestorm,Brandon Routhas The Atom,Caity Lotzas White Canary,Dominic Purcellas Heatwave,Wentworth Milleras Captain Cold,Arthur Darvillas Rip Hunter, andCasper Crumpas Savage.
