Just before “Star Wars Celebration” kicks off in London Friday, July 15th,Star Wars: Episode VIIIstarsMark HamillandDaisy Ridleyhave wrapped. While this obviously frees them up to attend the event (which we will be covering extensively), it also suggests that the bigger scenes and interactions between these two Force-attuned characters have been shot and are now awaitingRian Johnson’sedits and final touches. Good timing, too, not just for the big event this weekend, but sinceStar Wars: Episode VIIIisexpected to wrap completelynext week.
As those of you (ie. everyone) who sawStar Wars: The Force Awakensremember, Rey (Ridley) and Luke (Hamill) met up for the briefest of moments in the very last scene of that film, and the next installment will presumably pick up where we left off. The fate of Finn (John Boyega) is a little murkier, but since Boyega also shared some wrap-party celebration, I think it’s safe to say he’s done as well. Check out all the various posts below:
