TheHarry Pottertelevision series produced byHBOis one step closer to becoming a reality. According toDeadline, the highly-anticipated project will begin filming in the summer. That would put the show on track to debut on the screen at some point in 2026 or 2027. The announcement comes straight fromFrancesca Gardiner— the upcoming series' showrunner that was present at the Max Showcase that took place in London. Gardiner happily to let the world know when cameras would begin rolling for the nextHarry Potteradaptation, which is slated for Summer 2025. Now, viewers are closer than ever to witnessing the return of Hogwarts.

The upcomingHarry Potterseries will bring the magic of the books written byJ.K. Rowlingback to the screen. The story was previously depicted in a series of movies starringDaniel Radcliffe,Rupert Grint,andEmma Watson. The actors that will portray the classic characters of the novels in the new adaptation haven’t been announced yet, but considering how theHarry Potterseries will begin filming in the summer, it won’t be long before HBO starts to publicly assemble a cast. No release date has been given for the highly-anticipated television show.
