Hey Collider Crew,

Thanks to your nifty video, I now know how Oscar nominations work, but where does Oscar Buzz come from? For examplePassengers,Silence,Hacksaw Ridge,Manchester by the Sea, andArrival, are all films that have had Oscar Buzz before their  release.

Sometimes these “Oscar buzzed” films don’t even get good reviews or even end up with more than a few technical nominations. (Looking at youUnbroken.)

Is this a studio thing? A critic thing? Who’s making these claims, and more importantly why do we buy into it all the time? Thanks!

Hi people,

Do you think that the reason why the MCU have weak villains, is because Marvel want their heroes to shine, instead of the villains taking away screen time from the heroes? Thanks.
