Warner Bros. has finally (and officially)confirmed a standaloneBatmanmovieis in the works withBen Affleckwriting and directing. The announcement came yesterday during the studio’s panel at CinemaCon in Las Vegas where WB chairman and CEOKevin Tsujiharahyped 10 DC movies planned over the next five years. No word yet on a production start date, which can be tricky to find seeing as Affleck is already busy with post production on hisLive By Nightfeature that he wrote, directed and stars in, and shooting schedule for WB’s Justice League.

Sony Pictures brought out the big guns Tuesday evening at Cinema Con in Las Vegas last night, officiallyannouncing the title for their rebootedSpider-Man. As was reported last week, the title is officiallySpider-Man: Homecoming. Devin Faraci of Birth.Movies.Death also claims to have inside knowledge that Marvel will be looking at the character ofVultureto giveTom Holland’sSpider-Man a run for his money. In the same report, Faraci confirmed the title for the movie wasSpider-Man: Homecoming, beating Sony to the announcement, so it’s anyone’s guess now if his report about Vulture as the villain is also true. Marvel has yet to confirm or deny this report.

Sup guys. What are some movies that you had literally no intention in seeing or just weren’t bothered at all, that you thought were actually really good once you eventually saw them?

My fiancee and I got into a heated discussion last night about theJungle Bookand how it NEEDS the human element to work. Her argument being that: If it’s just a bunch of talking animals, it becomes less believable and a little hokey. Mine being:  I would LOVE to see a remake ofThe Lion Kingwith the CGI quality ofThe Jungle Book.  It doesn’t have a human element and I don’t think it needs it. Do you guys/girl think that a photo-realistic “cartoon” remake, of a movie, would be a good idea?  Does it need the human element to be successful? Keep on, keepin' on.
