Fiege said that they have had a wish list of actors and now they are finally coming together.
Star Wars: The Force AwakensactorJohn Boyegatook to his Instagram account to announcethe first day of filming on the sequel forPacific Rim 2has begun. In doing so, the actor revealed the title asPacific Rim: Maelstrom; a name that has been rumored for some time. Boyega portrays the son ofIdris Elba’sStacker Pentecost, who died at the end of the first film.DaredevilshowrunnerSteven S. DeKnightwill direct this time around, who also teased the production start from his own Twitter account. Almost Christmas- Walter (Danny Glover) is a retired automotive engineer who lost the love of his life one year earlier. Now that the holiday season is here, he invites his four grown children and the rest of the family to his house for a traditional celebration. Poor Walter knows that if daughters Rachel (Gabrielle Union) and Cheryl (Kimberly Elise)and sons Christian (Romany Malco) and Evan (Jessie T. Usher) can spend five days together under the same roof, it will truly be a Christmas miracle.
Shut In- Mary (Naomi Watts) is a child psychologist who lives in isolation in rural New England after her husband dies in a horrific car accident. The tragedy also leaves her 18-year-old stepson Stephen (Charlie Heaton) in a bedridden, catatonic state, making him completely dependent on her. When one of Mary’s young patients goes missing and is presumed dead, she becomes convinced that the boy’s (Jacob Tremblay) ghost is now haunting both her and Stephen.

During an interview with producerDavid Heymanat the recentFantastic Beasts and Where to Find Themjunket, Slash Film asked about the new Willy Wonka movie is in the works at the studio. Heyman emphasized that the movie won’t be just another rehash of the same movies and instead teased it as an origin story. Heyman also revealed that the rights to theRoald Dahl’snovels all tied up so he hinted that the movie might explore other periods of Willy Wonka’s life not found in the books. He added that there is a lot to his character that implies who he is and what he has been through. Also, Heyman said it is in early stages but they are excited for the future of the project.
It looks like Spider-Man is in it for the long hall. After debuting as the web-slinger in this year’sCaptain America: Civil War,actorTom Hollandrevealed that he’s signed on to appear as the superhero in six Marvel movies. Holland told THR that Marvel is good at working around to add him into films. Adding to this, he says he has three appearances in other movies and three solo appearances.
According toDoctor StrangedirectorScott Derrickson,the movie was originally supposed to feature an entirely different villainthan the one we ended up with. During an interview with Empire magazine, Derrickson said one of his initial ideas was to incorporate Nightmare, ruler of the Dream Dimension, instead of Dormammu. He said that the trouble with introducing Nightmare was to also introduce the Dream Dimension. By adding that to their already challenging film would be too much and the films villain Dormammu made much more sense.
