Rogue One: A Star Wars Storywas finally unveiled this past weekend at its world premiere event at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood.Soon after, the first reactions to the film hit online and the response is overwhelmingly positive. Praise is being heaped on the film in pretty much every department—the action, the story, the characters with some people even going so far as to say it’ll crack their personal Top 10 lists of the year.
Ever sinceTim Millerexited the production ofDeadpool 2over creative differences, many reports have hit online stating that Miller and star/producerRyan Reynoldsdisagreed about the scope of the sequel and the casting of the character of Cable.During an interview on CG Garage, Miller finally spoke out about why he left the project, also clearing up that he was never going to castKyle Chandleras Cable. Speaking about it all, Miller said he wanted to make the same kind of movie made the first time around.
It’s Monday which means it’s time for the weekend box office report brought to you AMC theatres. Disney’sMoanasnagged the No 1 spot for a third weekend in a row, taking in $18.8 million.Office Christmas Partyopened in the No 2 spot on its first weekend of release, taking in $17.5 million.Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Themmade $10.78 million for the No 3 spot at the box office with Paramount’sArrivaltaking the No 4 spot with $5.6 million. And rounding out the top five wasDoctor Strange. The Marvel release took the No 5 spot with $4.6 million bringing its domestic total to $222.3 million.

According to a report from Deadline,Sony has set the sequel toSpider-Man: Homecomingto debut in theatres on July 5, 2019while also settingBad Boys 4, the sequel to the recently titledBad Boys For Lifeto Memorial Day weekend, where it is now set to hit on May 24th, 2019.Bad Boys 4will now be going up against Warner Bros’Minecraft, while the Spider-Man sequel is largely in the clear over that Independence Day weekend.Bad Boys for Life, the third movie in the franchise, will be directed byJoe Carnahanand will debut in theatres on January 28th, 2018.
According to a report from THR,Zack Snyderhas lined up a window to shoot his long in development passion projectThe Last Photograph, with the reason being becauseJustice League 2has been pushed back in order to make room forBen Affleck’sBatmanmovie.Justice League 2was originally scheduled to hit on July 10, 2025, with an unknown DCEU movie dated for June 28, 2025. Though it remains unconfirmed, many outlets speculate that Ben Affleck’sBatmanwill take the June 14th, 2019 release date withJustice League 2taking over the November 1st, 2019 release.

Greetings Collider Crew. One the most anticipated films for many people next isWar for the Planet of the Apes, #ApesonHorses. My question is, do you think it will cross the billion-dollar mark? Rise made almost $482 million dollars & then Dawn made a little over $710 million dollars. I personally feel it will come close but won’t due to the massive competition it will face in July. Does it rely on the quality and so – if it’s the best in the Apes series, will it have a chance? Thanks for taking my question & bring on the Filthy!!!
