There aren’t many good moments in 2009’sX-Men Origins: Wolverine, butRyan Reynoldsturn as the motor-mouthed special ops agent Wade Wilson was one of them. Naturally, because everything inOriginsis awful, they cut him from the picture early on and when he returns his mouth is sewn shut,Scott Adkinsreplaced Reynolds, and the character was clumsily referred to as both “The Dead Pool” and “Weapon XI”. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong with the studio’s treatment of the character, and the last 6 ½ years have been trying to give the “Merc with a Mouth”, who also has a devoted following from his fourth-wall breaking comics, the movie he deserves....

Disney Stores in Canada are set to close as the company prepares for a shift in strategy.According to Retail Insider, Disney has plans to shutter almost all of its standalone stores, including all 18 locations in Canada. While it is a strategy shift, it does come in the midst of a problem with retail stores that have been brewing for years. With the availability of online shopping, many Disney fans are electing to make purchases via the internet or heading to the parks for their merchandise....

Disney’s D23 convention is creeping closer and closer and the studio has put forth a new poster to promote the event. This colorful poster places Mickey Mouse himself front and center, though 58 references are riddled throughout. Marvel,Star Wars, and several of Disney’s animated classics feature in the colorful and creative design. Fans will understandably be drawn to their favorite IP on this poster, which rightfully has something for everyone. On the Marvel side of things, Spider-Man can be seen in one of the lower windows of Cinderella’s castle, while the Black Panther symbol and a Nova Corps ship are also present....

Jonathan Majorsis set to hit the big screen with his debut portrayal of Kang the Conqueror inAnt-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. One of the most longstanding villains in Marvel,Kang is set to wreak havoc on the MCU’s heroesfor years to come, culminating in the next Avengers saga with movies in 2025 and 2026. While Majors will be bringing to life the complex big bad in his arrival to the MCU, this won’t be the first time Majors has appeared in the universe....
