We’re just over a month away from the official launch ofJurassic World Rebirthin theaters everywhere, and Universal is celebrating its imminent arrival with anew trailer. The extended look at the fourthJurassic Worldfilm includes loads of new footage of starsScarlett Johansson,Jonathan Bailey,Mahershala Ali, and more, along with new looks at some of the dangerous dinosaurs the team will have to deal with in the film.Gareth Edwards(Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,The Creator) will direct the film, and the script comes from originalJurassic ParkscribeDavid Koepp. OriginalJurassic ParkdirectorSteven Spielbergis also involved as an executive producer on the film.Ed Skrein(Deadpool),Rupert Friend(Hitman: Agent 47), andManuel Garcia-Rulfo(A Man Called Otto) will also star.
Few franchises have the strong box office history as theJurassicfranchise, which has consistently turned in major financial hits even when the critical and audience reception wasn’t up to snuff. Movie fans have proven over the years to love sci-fi and spectacle, and few films offer both of those things packaged into one as effortlessly as aJurassic Worldfilm. However,Jurassic World Rebirthwill have some hefty competition at the box office in the weeks following its premiere, asSupermanis slated to arrive less than 10 days afterRebirthon July 11. Only a few weeks after that,The Fantastic Four: First Stepswill also fly into theaters. Opening weekend forF4with Jurassic World RebirthandSupermanstill earning, could be one of the highest-grossing weekends of all time at the box office.
Is Chris Pratt in ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’?
Chris Prattwill not reprise his role as Owen Grady inJurassic World Rebirth.Bryce Dallas Howardwill also not return in the film, which will bring in entirely new characters to tell a new story. However, the film is set five years after the events ofJurassic World Dominion, and while the old characters are confirmed not to star in the film, there is room for them to come back in the future, similar to howSam NeillandLaura Derndid in the thirdJurassic Worldinstallment. However, no members of theJurassic World Dominioncast are involved inJurassic World Rebirthin any capacity.
