Jax has already been to a rehabilitation facility twice, but he emphasizes he did not take the treatment as seriously as he should have the first time around. Then, he went through a situation with Brittany that made him realize he needed to check in for a second time. Whiletalking withVanderpump RulesproducerAlex Baskin,he said about his addiction,“It’s a disease, and it’s something that I have to work on for the rest of my life, unfortunately.“Jax’s ex-wife Brittany has also released a statement giving her thoughts on this reveal, and how they are dealing with the situation.

Jax Revealed Dealing With Addiction in the Past
“The number one guy in the group,” or so he calls himself, Jax Taylor recently went on Alex Baskin’s podcastHot Micto give updates on his life and revealed that he had been dealing with an addiction problem to cocaine and alcohol. While on the episode,he explained that he went to rehab twice, but it wasn’t until his second time that he started to take the treatment seriously, and he checked himself in again because he got triggered by something he had seen about Brittany. “Brittany and I were actually on our way to a doctor’s appointment for our son and her phone was connected to my car.A man’s name came up, and it just triggered me.”
Jax went on and said that he had taken a substance the night before and seeing the message come through to Brittany made him snap. To make matters worse, hisson was in the car when he had that outburst.“I went crazy in the car, you know, yelling and the worst part about all of this is, and this is why I checked myself in, is that my son was in the backseat and that’s when I knew. I’m like, ‘Sh*t, I have a problem. It’s still there.’”After this outburst, he went on to check himself into rehaband announced in the episode that he has been 83 days sober.
Jax’s ex-wife, Brittany, released a statement toPeople Magazinetalking about Jax’s news, saying she was glad that he was coming clean about his issues. “For the first time, I can speak openly about the extent of trauma he’s instilled on our family over the years. I’ve tried desperately to help him without success. I pray that one day he completely knocks this addiction, but I’m skeptical. His behaviors are still alarming and his treatment plan seems to be the bare minimum.“With all of this news about Jax and Brittany, viewers are being kept on their toesabout the new season ofThe Valley,since that is where everyone will be able to see how their marriage crumbled and how Brittany has been able to come out of that situation.
