One of the major shakeups early on inTrackerSeason 2 sawFiona Rene’s Reenie Greene quit her job and start up her own firm. This meant a new space and, of course, new clients as well. It also allowed Reenie the opportunity to work out in the field withJustin Hartley’s Colter on occasion. One of Reenie’s new clients is themysterious Leo Sharf (Pej Vahdat), who smelt like trouble from the very first moment. Ultimately, the ruthless businessman did bring that perceived danger to Reenie’s doorstep inSeason 2’s penultimate episode, with Reenie’s life severely threatened. While the season finale was mainly about Colter and his discovery at Echo RIdge, the episode checked in on Reenie, who is still visibly shaken from her ordealbut apparently, is still in the employ of Leo. Why could that possibly be?

Kidnapped and staring down the barrel of a gun,“Rules of the Game"was a traumatic experience for Reenie.TrackershowrunnerElwood Reid, while speaking with ScreenRant, was quizzed on whether we have seen the last of Leo in Reenie’s life. “One of the challenges the writers had was the fact that Reenie’s a lawyer, but we never see her doing any lawyering,” Reid explains. “So, we got her involved in this case. Justin suggested Pej [Vahdat], since he’d worked with him before, and he’s a great actor. We wanted to build out her world a little bit more, and given where we left her in season 2, we’re going to build out that world even more in season 3 andhave her question some things.”

‘Tracker’ Season 3 Will Introduce a Different Ms. Greene

Reid’s comments suggest that Leo Sharf is likely to return in Season 3 and remain a part of Reenie’s clientele. Given the depths of risk and danger her professional relationship with the businessman has brought on, it remains to be seen just how the two get along. Reid goes on to explain that the coming season will introduce Colter and the audience toa different Reenie, a softer version of sorts, even as other areas of her life are explored:

“At the end of episode 19, Colter gets to see this woman who’s really broken, and he’s the guy who kind of came and saved her. She’s a very confident person, but we get to see the softer side underneath. I think we’re going to continue to build out Reenie’s world with her boyfriend and possibly with this business that she’s building out. I think that’s where the show will succeed, if we’re able to build out those other secondary characters.”

ShouldTrackerSeason 3 pick up exactly where its sophomore season left things, Reenie would have a lot on her plate. Her boyfriend, Elliot (Michael Rady), would still be in the hospital after being shot in the case involving Sharf. Reenie is a strong woman, but she’ll need the support of her closest friends, includingVelma (Abby McEnany), Colter, Bobby and Randy.
